Job Description


? Works with a variety of children ages 12-months to toddlers.
? Implements a play-based daily schedule and routine for young children.
? Ensures children are safe and their needs are met - this may include diapering, dressing, and feeding.
? Ensures children are kept active, entertained, and engaged in developmental activities.
? Plans for and maintains an appropriate, clean, safe, developmentally appropriate & nurturing environment for
children.
? Communicates daily with parents about the needs, activities, and developmental milestones of children.
? Facilitates open communication and a positive classroom and school environment.
? Uses positive behavior support and praise to encourage problem-solving and good behavior.
? Ensures that children are learning and socializing in a positive way.
? Maintains records and keeps accurate data of learning goals and objectives.
? Develops and prepares the daily schedule and any materials needed for active engagement.
? Demonstrates high standards of professionalism and maintains confidentiality.
? Maintains regular and consistent attendance.
? Adjusts easily to a flexible schedule and tasks as needed, from day to day.
? Maintains good working relationships with children, teachers, and staff.
? May also assist with school-aged children, as needed.
? Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
  • A Child Development Associate credential (CDA) and experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool is preferred. 
  • Must be able to pass a drug and background check.
  • Must have excellent communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Certification in child CPR or the willingness to obtain it. 

Interview Process

  • 10–15-minute screening call with a ProCare Recruiter
  • 20-30 minute virtual/in-person interview with school district
  • Offer is typically within 24 hours of virtual interview.

As a ProCare employee, you will be paid on a weekly basis through direct deposit. Your hourly rate will be dependent upon your experience and education.
